Perfect fit/sound

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Perfect fit and great sound for my 2010 Nissan Sentra. Were the only speakers shallow enough to fit my car's 2.5 in front door panel depth without compromising sound quality. They sound great with my pioneer avh 3500. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pros:

Depth size, outstanding sound quality, good price

Cons:

Now I have to buy better speakers for the rear to match the sound quality of these!

RetroSound R-693N speakers hard to install

I do like the sounds from them after they are installed inside an enclosure. Before installing under a dashboard they sound very tinny, metal-like. The installation under the d ash was very difficult because the mounting-holes in the speaker did NOT align correctly with the mounting bolts on the car. the speaker 'holes' were about 1/8 inch off from the bolts. I needed to redrill and expand the existing screw-holes in the speaker to match-up with the car bolts. The holes are the 4-corrner-holes that needed re-alignment.

Pros:

sound is so far, so good

Cons:

the 4-corner mounting-holes on the speaker do not align with all 4 bolts under the dash. I needed to re-drill (expand) 3 of the 4 speaker-holes to align and mount the speaker.

Low Profile Retrosound Speakers

These speakers are very low profile and fit into the rear factory speaker
locations in my 1981 Corvette. The sound is good, but not exceptional. Perfect
solution if you don't want to modify to fit deeper speakers, which is the case
with most aftermarked speakers. I tried Polk Audo's and they wouldn't fit. These
are a great compromise. Highly recommend if you have space problems and
want an upgrade over factory speakers.
