It provides acoustic absorption and thermal insulation for a variety of vehicle applications. The dark gray Dynaliner has a self-adhesive backing, with a high-temperature acrylic adhesive, for easy application. This durable, crush and tear-resistant material is not affected by oil and does not absorb water. Dynaliner meets both UL (Underwriters Laboratory) and FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) flame resistance. Typical Uses: Dynaliner is used on top of Dynamat in the doors, on the floor (under the carpet), behind the headliner, on the interior firewall, or under the hood. The Dynaliner/Dynamat combo can be used in place of carpet pad. Benefits include noise reduction, improved air conditioner/heater efficiency, and improved imaging (reduced high-frequency reflections). Installation: Using a razor knife or scissors you can cut Dynaliner to the desired size and shape. Dynaliner is self-adhesive, and should be mounted on a clean surface, free from dust, grease, debris, or moisture. For best results, work evenly from one side to the other, applying even pressure. My wife and I installed Dynamat and Dynaliner on our 1952 Chevy Pickup daily driver. Primarily to keep warmer during winter months. Installed on roof above headliner and behind seat and in doors and on floor. It seems to help the sound system too. There are other brands, but have used this before and know I can depend upon good results. And the service from Crutchfield is excellent too. A company we have depended upon before. 9 out of 15 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I covered the doors in my 72 Camaro, before installing rebuilt door panels, and modified speaker enclosures. Used my heat gun to make it conform better to door frame, don't get it too hot, but that should be a no brainer! Haven't finished with stereo install yet, so I can't tell you how much sound it blocks, but I expect it to be a major improvement over old 72 Camaro rattles. Wish it was a little less expensive, I'd do the whole car!!! 23 out of 42 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
