Features
Overview: The Sony Bluetooth Wireless Microphone (ECM-AW3) allows you
to capture crisp, clear audio from up to 150-feet away from your camcorder that
features a 3.5mm microphone input. The ECM-AW3 includes a wireless microphone
and wireless receiver, and comes supplied with an
armband, wind screen, carrying pouch, and two mono-earphones.
Compatibility: The Sony Bluetooth Wireless Microphone is compatible
with almost any recording device such as video camera or recorder with a 3.5mm
microphone input jack. The included wireless receiver connects to your
camcorder's 3.5mm microphone input, using the supplied minijack cable.
Microphone Type: The Sony ECM-AW3 utilizes a monaural, non-direction,
electoret condenser microphone with a frequency response of 300 to 9,000 Hz.
2-Way Communication: The Sony ECM-AW3 allows two-way communications
between you and your subject, enabling you to give your subject direction while
capturing only their voice. Even when far away (up to 150 feet) from the
camcorder, you can also shoot while recording whole conversations between you and
your subject.
Separate Earphones: Two separate mono-earphones are provided for both
the microphone and the receiver units. An earphone hanger is supplied if the
earphone comes out too easily when used by a child or someone with small ears.
Mounting: The wireless microphone and wireless receiver each have a
spring-clip allowing you to attach them to your clothing. Also, included is an
hook & loop armband.
Wind-Screen: The wireless microphone comes with a wind-screen to cut
down on wind noise during your audio/video recording.
Battery Powered: The wireless microphone and wireless receiver each
operate off of a single "AAA" alkaline or rechargeable Ni-MH battery. A single
"AAA" battery provided a continuous operating time of approximately 3 hour and a standby time
off approximately 9 hours (for microphone) and 3 hours (for receiver).
Carry Pouch: The Sony ECM-AW3 comes supplied with a draw-string cloth
carrying pouch for easy storage and portability.
