Outdoor Speaker
Outdoor Design: The Cambridge Audio ES10 exterior speakers are
designed specifically for outdoor use and resist a variety of weather
conditions. The ES10 outdoor speakers are resilient and weatherproof. They are
perfect for providing music out on your deck, front-porch, or by the pool.
Note: These speakers are not waterproof, but suitable for use in
most weather conditions. For best results, position them so they are not
directly exposed to the elements. The underside of eaves and overhands are
the ideal location and provide the best protection for exterior speakers.
Driver Technology
Two-Way Driver System: The Cambridge Audio ES10 exterior speakers
feature a two-way driver system with a 1" dome tweeter and a 5" mid-bass
woofer.
Frequency Response: The ES10 exterior speakers provide a frequency
response of 80 to 20,000 Hz.
Power Handling: The ES10 exterior speakers feature a maximum power
handling of 40 watts (RMS).
Enclosure Design
Rugged Enclosure Design: The ES10 exterior speakers feature
a durable white polymer cabinet which will survive years of seasonal use.
Metal Grille: The exterior speakers feature a metal mesh grille
(non-removable) to further protect the loaded drivers.
Paintable: The flat white exteriors of the enclosure and mesh grille are paintable.
Connections
Binding Posts: The Cambridge Audio ES10 exterior speakers
are equipped with a set of binding post terminals. The binding post terminals
will accept bare-wire (16-12AWG), pin-connectors, and spade-connectors.
Note: The speaker's binding posts will not accept banana plugs.
Color Coded: The terminals are color-coded (black/red) to
distinguish between positive and negative.
Mounting Options
Table-Top Mount: The Cambridge Audio ES10 exterior speakers can simply
be placed on an outdoor table, desk, shelf , or stand. The speakers can be
placed horizontally or vertically.
Mounting Bracket: The Cambridge Audio ES10 exterior speakers include
an easy to install mounting bracket (mounting screws not supplied). The mounting
bracket allows you to mount the speaker discretely on the underside of eaves or
overhangs so as not to be intrusive and still provide maximum entertainment. The mounting
bracket allows you to mount the outdoor speakers horizontally or vertically.
When mounted horizontally, you can tilt the bracket up or down. When mounted
vertically, you can swivel the bracket left or right.
Note: The outdoor speakers also feature two rear-mounted M6
threaded inserts for attaching an optional articulating mounting bracket
(sold separately).
Placement: The outdoor speakers should be placed at
least 7' apart and at the listener's ear-level (if possible). Make sure to place the ES10 speakers at least 2'
from any television or computer screen, since they are not video shielded.
