An excellent combination

The CS212-WXv2 BassWedge contains two 12" WXv2 subwoofers that together handle up to 400 watts RMS, loaded into a specially built sealed enclosure. You'll enjoy punchy, detailed bass without taking up too much room in your vehicle's trunk or cargo area.

Solid MDF enclosure

JL Audio uses state-of-the-art automated woodworking equipment to fabricate the high-quality MDF enclosure with rugged automotive carpeting, nickel-plated push terminals, and solid internal wiring. The enclosure is finished and inspected by hand at the manufacturing facility in Florida to ensure that you get the bass that you expect from JL Audio.

Features

Overview: The JL Audio BassWedge sealed subwoofer enclosure is designed around two of JL Audio's 12" WXv2 (4Ω) subwoofers, delivering tight, powerful bass. The MDF enclosure is covered with gray carpet and has a JL AUDIO logo embroidered across the top.

Speaker Terminal: The enclosure uses one pair of high current spring posts; the subwoofers are internally wired in parallel to a single terminal, presenting a 2Ω load to the amplifier. The posts are located on the left side of the box and will accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.

WXv2 Woofer Features:

Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA): DMA is a JL Audio proprietary method of improving dynamic motor behavior. As a result of DMA optimization, the woofer's motor remains linear in motor force over a long excursion range, and maintains a stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. The result is reduced distortion, faithfully reproduced transients, and tight, clean, articulate bass.
Elevated Frame Cooling: The elevated frame design of the 12WXv2 delivers cool air through slots directly above the top-plate to the voice coil. This not only enhances power handling, but also sound quality by minimizing dynamic parameter shifts and power compression.
Rear Gasket: The woofer has an integrated foam rear gasket which provides an optimal seal when installing into the enclosure.

Optional Grille: The optional SGRU-12 grilles (item number 136SGR1231, sold separately) can be added to protect the woofer cones.

Powerfull sub, sometimes overwelming. I had to set the sub volumne to -2 db!. Rather large, just bearly fits in my trunk.. Using with JL 369 watt amps in bridged mode. Clean bass.

Got this box paired with a RF P300-1 amp pushing 412 watts RMS. The bass won't shake the Earth, but it sure does shake my little Civic like crazy. If you want the boom, then go with a ported or bandpass box. If you want clean bass, where you can hear the notes all nice and clean, then this is for you! I just hope my Civic doesn't fall apart on the road when it hits those lows! Have mercy...

Pros:

Box has small footprint and is not too heavy. Cool JL logos on the box and woofers.

Cons:

Mine was damaged slightly during shipping, but i know it's cause UPS throws stuff around like trash. Crutchfield hooked me up with a discount though, which is cool.

I bought these subs not expecting much as they are JL Audio's least expensive subs and boy was I off. The subs hit hard and accurate bass notes and do not require much power. The box and subs look great and don't take up much space and they definitely look high end for not so much high end $$$$$$$$$$$.
