The spring terminals will accept bare wire up to 10 gauge, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure the terminal has an attached 21" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer. Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure to your vehicle are recommended.

I slapped a JL Audio 12W3v3-2 in this box so far it sounds great and I am confident it will withstand the test of time. I have two of these boxes because everywhere I try to buy a box they are either high priced or not of quality. Wal-Mart has cheap boxes but I don't want something made out of particle board. I have a ported one and a sealed box. They are clean, well made, and built with structural integrity in mind. The specs are spot on and all I know is this box is well made. Some people want to say that 5/8 mdf is weak, but for this app I'm not so sure. 500 rms sub, 500 rms amp! Custom box? only if your tight on space should you go that route. For other boxes in this range, you might have to glue them together, love it, and you will too! Put a 12" Kicker CVR in it and it gives me nice smooth bass after the sub broke in. Only problem is: because I went with a dual-voice coil sub, we had to drill another terminal into the back of the box. I ordered from Crutchfield before and found the exact specs for a nice box, even found it in the scratch and dent price that only had a scratch on the outside which was no big deal and free shipping cant beat that. The quality is excellent and it was exactly what I needed. My main concern with buying this box was fitment because I have an 02" Trans Am and I was worried it wouldnt fit in the rear hatch, but it actually fits perfectly. I havent put the sub in this box yet so I can't comment on sound quality but the build quality is very good and for all of you that have a 93-02 Firebird or Camaro, this box will fit GREAT in the back! I thought the price was very good unlike other people, its already put together, glued joints, silicone sealed edges, 4 brace supports, nice looking (thin) black carpet, gold push terminals, 18in of 12ga wire, I mounted a kicker c124 with kicker metal grille as well as a dual xpa2500 amp on the side and everything turned out great. I placed my order on saturday and it shipped on monday and was at my door tuesday. I recommend buying box stuffing(poly fill) and the streetwires 14ga speaker wire from crutchfield. base bunker will ship seperate from other items ypu buy.
