Wireless Speaker System: The Boston Acoustic MC200Air is a high
performance wireless speaker system with AirPlay technology & DLNA
certification. The MC200Air also offers a USB (type-A) input and 3.5mm auxiliary
input. You'll get great room-filling sound from this sleek, compact designed
wireless speaker system. An included IR remote control provides added
convenience.
Full-Range Sound w/ BassTrac Circuitry: The Boston Acoustic MC200Air
houses dual 3.5" Boston-designed full-range drivers inside a bass-reflex cabinet
(with dual rear-firing ports) for high-performance sound. The system also
features BassTrac circuitry for consistent, high-performance sound. BassTrac, a
Boston-designed digital audio technology, allows the speaker system to output
deep bass with minimal distortion, even at high volumes.
Dual Network Connections (wireless/wired): The MC200Air is
equipped with dual network connection methods. There's an RJ-45 LAN (Ethernet)
port for direct wired connection to your home network, and there's also the
built-in WiFi feature that includes WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) for safe and
secure connection to your wireless home network. The unit's network connection
lets you listen to music from compatible AirPlay and DLNA devices.
Note: This unit's RJ-45 Ethernet port supports
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX and requires an Ethernet (LAN) category 5 or higher
cable, Router, Modem, and Internet connection. When using a wireless LAN
connection, your system must feature an wireless router/access-point.
DLNA Certified: The MC200Air can connect to any DLNA-certified device,
including Windows PCs with compatible software and smartphones with Android OS via your
Wi-Fi network. You'll be able to wirelessly stream music stored on your
compatible Windows PC or Android device to the Boston Acoustic MC200Air.
AirPlay Technology: AirPlay wireless technology lets you stream your favorite
music from your Wi-Fi connected Windows PC or Mac computer using iTunes; or your
iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to the MC200Air Speaker System. AirPlay technology
gives you wireless remote access to your entire iTunes music collection with
full navigation & playback control from your Windows PC or Mac computer. You can
even bypass your computer entirely, and wirelessly stream all of your iTunes
music directly from your Apple iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad (via
Apple's free Remote app). AirPlay also lets you wirelessly stream music and
music apps (such as Pandora, MOG, Spotify) stored on your iPod touch, iPhone, or
iPad to the MC200Air. So there's no need to connect your Apple device, unless
you want to charge it.
Note: To use the AirPlay feature you need a Mac or
Windows-based PC running iTunes (10.1 or later) connected to your wireless
home network. Your iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad must have iOS 4.2.1 or later
installed and connected to the same wireless home network.
USB Port: A rear-panel USB (type-A) port allows you to connect, charge,
control, and play music
directly from select Apple iPod, iPhone, and iPads. You are able to playback
music stored on your Apple device, as well as music streamed to your Apple
device from downloaded apps; such as Pandora, Spotify, and MOG.
Note: The USB port can charge other non-iOS USB devices, but will
not support music playback from those devices.

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If
this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is
available.
Multi-Zone Compatibility: While one MC200Air can easily fill an entire room
with great sound, your home may have other areas where you'd like to hear music.
By adding a MC200Air to your bedroom, family room, kitchen, or even your garage,
you can hear your favorite music wherever you may roam. And while using iTunes,
you can even stream to multiple MC200Air systems simultaneously.
Aux Input: The side-panel AUX (3.5mm) input allows you to connect to
an external portable source which features an audio output or headphone output,
that does not support AirPlay or DLNA.
Headphone Output: There is a side-panel 3.5mm headphone jack
which allows you to connect a set of headphones for private listening. When a
set of headphones are connected, the system's built-in speakers are muted.
Remote Control: The included IR remote control provides wireless
operation of the MC200Air system. It also provides basic playback controls for
your compatible Apple and Android devices. You'll get Play/Pause, Previous/Next
Track, and Fast Forward/Rewind controls.
Mounting Options: The Boston Acoustic MC200Air can be simply be placed on a
table, desk, shelf or stand. You can also wall mount the MC200Air using its two
rear-panel keyhole slots (spaced 3.875" apart).
Note: Placing the Mc200Air near a wall or corner will enhance its
bass response. Be careful not to block the rear bass ports on the rear of
the cabinet.
Power Requirements: The wireless speaker system operates off of
standard household AC current using the supplied AC power adapter and 6' AC
power cord.
