    Overview: The Sanus Vertical Foundations VF2012 is a single-column AV component system that mounts directly under wall-mounted TVs for a sleek, streamlined look. Its large center column is vertically adjustable for perfect alignment under a wall-mounted TV, even after hanging. The center column features two integrated channels with over four square inches of space for easy power cable and signal wire routing. Thick tempered-glass shelves support up to 50 lbs each and can be vertically adjusted to accommodate any AV component arrangement.

    Great Product

    The assembly was a bit complicated, and there are very limited instructions, only pictures/illustrations on each step. The first step is to take a screw out and separate the base from the mounting bracket, and it came with the screw in so tight it was nearly impossible to get it out without stripping the screw. After I finally unscrewed it, the rest of the assembly was not too bad -- just took a while to figure out how it all fit together due to lack of directions. Once completed, the shelf looks great and was a perfect option for housing two units (I have a cable receiver and DVD player now mounted below the TV). I would highly recommend it, just be aware it may take longer than you expect to put it together.

    Great component shelf, storage solution, looks great.
    Cons:
    Assembly more difficult than expected, very few directions.

    This my second one of these. My first was a "double wide" version that I used for my home theater setup, Which was also excellent. This one I'm using for my music only setup and was MUCH easier to install. Same great quality and looks awesome! Instructions ARE pretty rough, but it's also not rocket science either. Plenty of room to hide cables, it looks very clean and almost like your components are floating. Highly recommend!

    Cable hiding Cool looking "floating" factor
    Cons:
    Walls have to be reasonably flat Bad instructions

    The unit is well thought out and engineered. Looks great. Solid mounting system.
    Pros:
    Looks good. Shelves can be easily removed for cleaning.
    Cons:
    Bad manual. I purchased a unit that had been previously opened. I found out why. The screw that holds the lockl bar was too tightly torqued by the factory and the previous purchaser stripped the phillips head which made it impossible to remove in the factory installed position. Fortunately the opposite end has a screw that when removed allowed the asembly to slide just enough to allow me to get channel locks on the outside of the screw and with a heavy twist got the screw to turn. Problem solved

    This is a great unit! This is myescond purchase of this shelf unit. Great loooks, great utility, and it hides all wires from view. I installed this unit in a kitchen. The installation was easy, and the unit easily supported a sound bar and the cable box.

    As part of combining households, I needed to make space for a new Sony flatscreen TV in my bedroom. We decided to finally mount the TV to the wall, and incorporate shelves for the AV components. So I purchased this item and the wall mounting bracket, and installed them both myself. The quality of the hardware and the instructions were perfect. I have moderate experience with home improvement, so I would say that I only read them minimally. Overall, I recommend this item and the Sanus ML11-B1 Super-Slim (mounting bracket) if you need something for a bedroom entertainment setup.

    Great addition to a wall mount TV. Hides the cords/wires well and looks great. Easy to install and has lots of room for dvd player, cable box or any other unit. Smoked glass shelves are very sturdy and add to the clean look.

    I've purchased two of these and love them. Very clean look--cables are completely hidden.
    Each shelf holds 50 lbs. Very easy to install. Good excuse to ditch the old furniture you probably have holding your cable box, dvd player, etc.

    The rack is good quality and looks great. The directions aren't very helpful, but if you don't still wear velcro shoes it's easy to figure out. Thinking about getting another to put in the family room.

    The Sanus VF2012 is a very nice looking and highly functional AV component wall mount. We used it with the Sanus LT25 TV wall mount. The installation was easy, despite the total lack of usable information in the manual. We installed it after the wall mount was installed and the TV mounted so we had an accurate measurement for its placement. The shelf bracket mount was a bit tricky to get on, but not a big issue to solve.

    All the packing material is recyclable.

    Good product, simple installation and a good buy.
