Overview: The Sony ECM-HST1 Stereo Microphone lets you capture even
better stereo audio from your compatible Sony Handycam camcorder. The stereo
microphone connects to the Active Interface Shoe of your compatible Sony
camcorder and has a wind screen to help eliminate wind noise. Plus, this
microphone offers selectable sound direction between 90 and 120 degrees.
Compatibility: The Sony ECM-HST1 Stereo Microphone is compatible with
Sony Handycam camcorders featuring an Active Interface Shoe.
Smart Accessory Terminal: The Sony Stereo Microphone connects to your
Sony Handycam camcorder's Active Interface Shoe and derives power from
the camcorder body (no additional batteries required).
Auto-Switch: When the microphone is attached to the compatible Sony
Handycam camcorder, the camcorder automatically switches from the built-in microphone
to the external microphone.
Stereo Sound: The Sony
Stereo Microphone enables natural sound pick-up, delivering a stereo sound image
with superb clarity.
Selectable Directivity: You can manually select the directivity of
sound between 90 and 120 degrees.
- 90-Degree: Use the 90-degree setting when picking up a sound with
a narrow soundstage, or a distance sound (conversation, solo instruments,
etc).
- 120-Degree: Use the 120-degree setting when picking up a sound
with a wide soundstage, or a nearby sound (concert, theatrical performance,
etc).
Wind Screen: An included wind screen
helps to reduce wind noise.
Compact Design: The Sony ECM-HST1 Stereo Microphone features a compact
lightweight design making it easy to carry.
Storage Pouch:
