Overview: The Audiovox IPD-2FM Rear Seat Entertainment Mount for iPad connects your compatible Apple iPad to almost any vehicle headrest, with no tools required. The Audiovox IPD-2FM includes a protective case with built-in FM & IR transmitter, a headrest mount, and a 12-volt power adapter in order to use your iPad as a rear seat entertainment system in your car.

iPad Compatibility: The Audiovox IPD-2FM Rear Seat Entertainment Mount for iPad features an integrated 30-pin dock connector for the iPad 2 (16/32/64GB) and iPad 3 (16/32/64GB). Not compatible with the first generation iPad or the iPad 4 (with Lightning connector).

Protective Case: Your compatible iPad device easily snaps into the protective case. The protective case is made of rugged ABS plastic with a rubberized black finish to protect your iPad in your vehicle. It offers a compact and lightweight design, with rounded corners. There is an integrated dock-connector to plug-in your iPad and a back-panel DC port to connect the included 12-volt power adapter. There is also an audio-pin window for access to the iPad 2's headphone jack. In addition, the protective case features a built-in FM & IR transmitter. The case features an adjustable arm which inserts into the included headrest mount for in-car use. You can adjust the tilting angle of the arm to your desirable position to avoid glare. The case is only designed to orientate your iPad 2 horizontally (not vertically).

Headrest Bracket: The headrest bracket can be easily installed to either the driver or passenger seat headrest of your vehicle. Its two-piece design clamps around both metal posts of the headrest and tightens using two threaded knobs. The headrest post spacing must be between 2.875" (minimum distance between posts) and 7.8125" (maximum width, including the posts). The posts must be 0.375" to 1.0" in diameter. The headrest bracket features a rugged ABS plastic exterior (black) with steel frame internal bracing, so your iPad will not shake while your vehicle is moving.

Note: You can purchase an addition headrest bracket and 12-volt power adapter (220IPDVDSC, sold separately), so you mount the Audiovox IPD-2FM and your iPad in another vehicle.

FM Transmitter: The IPD-2FM features a built-in FM transmitter to output sound to your car audio system through the car stereo's FM radio.

IR Transmitter: The IPD-2FM features a built-in IR transmitter for private listening through a pair of IR headphones (sold separately). There is an A-B IR channel switch on the back panel of the protective case.

12-Volt Power Adapter: The Audiovox IPD-2FM Rear Seat Entertainment Mount for iPad  comes with a 12-volt power adapter which can be plugged into your vehicle's cigarette lighter port or 12-volt accessory port in order to supply power to and charge your iPad 2's internal battery.
