This InfoLithium battery is designed specifically for use with select Sony camcorders. It provides up to 110 minutes of recording time, depending on the device, usage, and temperature.

Part of Sony's AccuPower system, InfoLithium batteries include a built-in microprocessor that communicates with Sony gear. The AccuPower Battery Meter, a highly sophisticated power management feature that constantly monitors shooting conditions, displays the minutes of remaining battery time in the corner of your viewfinder or color LCD screen. It takes the guesswork out of figuring out when to change batteries!

InfoLithium batteries don't suffer from the "memory effect" of NiCad batteries, so you can partially charge them without reducing their capacity. And they're quick charge-capable when used with a compatible Sony quick charger.

Features

InfoLITHIUM: The NP-FA50 battery exchanges data with compatible Sony video equipment about its power consumption, thus when used with InfoLITHIUM components it will calculate remaining battery life based on the actual power consumption of the equipment using it. If used with non InfoLITHIUM components remaining battery life will not be indicated.

Battery Life: The NP-FA50 has an estimated life of 90 minutes (1-1/2 hours). The battery life is based on continuous recording at 75° F for Sony camcorders with the LCD screen off and 2.5W power consumption. This is only an approximation and will vary based on actual power consumption of the component being used, manner of usage and temperature.

No Memory Effect: This battery has no memory effect, so it may be partially charged without creating memory problems.
