Features
Overview: The Harman/Kardon Bridge IIIP is a docking station for
select iPods & iPhones which allows you to play your favorite music & video
stored on your iPod or iPhone through select "Bridge-ready" Harman/Kardon AV
receivers. The Bridge IIIP even charges your Apple device & works seamlessly
with your Harman/Kardon system's remote control for music & video file
navigation. The Bridge IIIP enables you to enjoy
high-performance sound for your digital music (and video in some cases) through
your compatible Harman/Kardon home entertainment system.
Harman/Kardon AV Receiver Compatibility: The Bridge IIIP docking
station for iPod & iPhone will connect to select Harman/Kardon "Bridge-ready" AV
receivers, using only a single proprietary connection cable. As of September
2011, the Bridge IIP is compatible with the following Harman/Kardon AV
receivers.
- AVR 1650 *audio only
- AVR 2650 *audio & video
- AVR 3650 *audio & video
Note: The Bridge IIIP does not support previous Harman/Kardon
"Bridge-ready" AV receivers prior to 2011.
Angled Cradle: The Harman/Kardon Bridge IIIP features an
angled iPod dock cradle that allows you to play digital music & video from your
iPod or iPhone device through your compatible Harman/Kardon AV receiver. The
Bridge IIIP includes custom adapters for the iPod video (5th gen), iPod nano
(1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen), iPod classic (80/120/160GB), iPod touch (1st/2nd gen), &
iPhone (4/3GS/3G).
Note: Additional universal docking adapters can be purchased at
www.apple.com.
Audio Playback: The Bridge IIIP
makes your iPod & iPhone music libraries playable through your "Bridge-ready"
Harman/Kardon AV receiver.
Video Playback: Depending on which
Harman/Kardon AV receiver you have, high-definition video playback is also
possible through The Bridge IIIP with output up to 720p for video & JPEG still
images. Your iPod's or iPhone's video can be displayed on your connected
television through your compatible Harman/Kardon AV receiver's HDMI monitor output.
Note: Video & photo playback require iPod/iPhone models supporting
video browsing and a Harman/Kardon AV receiver that also supports
iPod/iPhone video (not available on all models).
Metadata Display: You can view your iPod/iPhone's metadata (song,
artist, album information) on the Harman/Kardon AV receiver's front-panel or
your connected television, via HDMI.
On-Screen Navigation & Remote Control: The
Bridge IIP is easy to use with your compatible Harman/Kardon AV receiver's
remote control. The Bridge IIIP even ensures easy track navigation of your music
& video playlists via the on-screen menu of your Harman/Kardon AV receiver
& connected television (via HDMI), or simply the Harman/Kardon AV receiver's front-panel
display.
- Music Browsing: You can browse your iPod or iPhone's music by
Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Podcast, Genre, Composer, or Audiobook from
the Harman/Kardon AV receiver's on-screen menu or front-panel display using
the remote control.
- Video Browsing: You can browse your iPod or iPhone's video by
Movie, Music Video, TV Show, Video Podcast, or Rental from the Harman/Kardon
AV receiver's on-screen menu or front-panel display using the remote
control.
- Photo Browsing: Photos can only be browsed directly from your
iPod or iPhone.
Note: You can also choose to control your iPod/iPhone's audio &
video playback via its touchscreen or clickwheel, but you will lose
on-screen & front-panel metadata display information.
Battery Charging: To prevent the loss of battery
power in your iPhone or iPod device, the Harman/Kardon Bridge IIIP
charges your Apple device when docked. The Bridge IIIP
docking station conveniently acts as a charging station when it's connected to
your Harman/Kardon AV receiver, regardless of whether it's playing or not.
The Bridge IIIP will charge your docked iPod/iPhone's battery as long as the
Harman/Kardon AV receiver is turned on.
iPod/iPhone Compatibility Chart: The Bridge IIP is "Made for
iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports audio/video playback, navigation & control,
and charging of select iPod/iPhone devices when connected to a compatible
Harman/Kardon "Bridge-ready" AV receiver (as of 1/5/2012).
