Overview: The Blue Line Innovations PowerCost Monitor WiFi (BLI-3100)
is a Wi-Fi upgrade accessory for the Blue Line BLI-28000 PowerCost Monitor (759PCM,
sold separately). The PowerCost WiFi lets you connect the PowerCost Monitor
(BLI-28000) to the Internet and Microsoft Hohm, so you can analyze your energy
usage and find out how to save money on your energy bills. The PowerCost Monitor
WiFi lets you feed your home's real time electricity data from your installed
Blue Line Innovations PowerCost Monitor (sold separately) into Microsoft Hohm.
The PowerCost Monitor System and Microsoft Hohm are a terrific tool kit to learn more about electricity
consumption in your home and make better informed decisions about how to reduce
electricity usage and to reduce your monthly electricity bill.
Note: PowerCost Monitor (BLI-28000), Microsoft Hohm service
account, and wireless home network required.
Wireless Connection: The
Blue Line PowerCost Monitor WiFi (BLI-3100) allows the Blue Line PowerCost
Monitor (BLI-2800, sold separately) to wirelessly transmit energy data from your
home's electric meter to your Windows-based computer and to Microsoft Hohm.
PCM WiFi Software: The PowerCost Monitor WiFi (BLI-3100) requires
software to configure its wireless features and to link to Microsoft Hohm. The
free downloadable software can be found at
www.bluelineinnovations.com/Products/PCMWiFi.
Microsoft Hohm Compatible: Microsoft Hohm is a free Web-based beta application and community portal that helps consumers to save energy and money. With Microsoft Hohm you can better understand your home energy usage, get recommendations to conserve energy and start saving. Hohm uses advanced analytics licensed from Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory and the Department of Energy to give you highly personalized energy
saving recommendations. These recommendations are tailored based on your
specific household circumstances including home attributes and use of appliances
and systems. When Integrated with the PowerCost Monitor WiFi system, you can
also harness the power of specific real-time and over-time information about
your own energy usage, appliances, infrastructure, habits, and more.
Hohm Score: Your Hohm score lets you compare your energy usage to others over time and in
real time. This means not only can you track your energy usage in real time, but
compare it to the energy usage and energy usage patterns of others in your area.
LED Indicator: The PowerCost Monitor WiFi is equipped with single LED
indicator which indicates the unit's wireless status.
Power Supply: The Blue Line Innovations PowerCost Monitor WiFi
operates off of standard household AC current with the included AC power
adapter.
Software Updates: In order to install a software update (from
Bluelineinnovations.com) to the PowerCost Monitor WiFi, you must attach it to
your windows-based computer using the supplied USB cable and start Blue Line
Innovation's PCM WiFi Setup Wizard.
