Features
Overview: The Denon AH-NCW500 Globe Cruiser Bluetooth
headphones are on-ear, noise-canceling headphones for use with a smartphone. The
active noise canceling eliminates external noise so you can hear your conversation or music
clearly. The AH-NCW500s come with a USB charging cable, a detachable audio cable,
and airline adapter. It folds flat and stores in the supplied simulated leather
carrying case.
Bluetooth: The AH-NCW500 Bluetooth Headphones feature
Bluetooth 3.0 wireless connectivity so you can carry on your conversations
without worrying about getting tangled up in a dangling cable. If you are unable to use the wireless connection or the
rechargeable battery is exhausted, the supplied audio cable lets you continue to
listen to your music. The headphones feature dual integrated microphones located
in each earcup for clear phone conversations. The headphones also include aptX and AAC decoding for CD
quality audio over the Bluetooth wireless connection.
Active Noise Canceling: The AH-NCW500's Noise Canceling
circuitry subtly eliminates annoying sounds, such as the constant drone of a
plane engine or the noise of the train on the tracks. You will still be able to
hear emergency announcements or converse with other passengers. The Active Noise
Canceling can be turned on or off by a toggle switch on the bottom of the left earcup.
Controls: The AH-NCW500s are equipped with Denon's
patent-pending Control Wheel for controlling your phone calls and wireless music
playback. The Control Wheel, located on the right earcup, mimics the operation
of a conventional rotary control. To control the volume, the Control Wheel is
rotated to the left or right. Music playback is controlled by pressing the
center of the Control Wheel a specific number of times for each function. The
controls are compatible with Apple iPhone and iPad, and other Bluetooth devices.
Note: The Control Wheel operates only for Bluetooth
operation. The Bluetooth function turns off when you connect a device using
the supplied audio cable.
Comfort: The AH-NCW500 headphones feature Denon's
patent-pending Pentagonally-shaped memory foam ear pads for maximum comfort. The
dual-axis earcups and adjustable padded headband provide for a perfect fit.
Rechargeable Battery: The headphones are powered by a
3.7-volt Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery. The battery charges in
approximately 2 hours via USB with the included USB charging cable. A fully
charged battery provides the following continuous usage:
- Bluetooth and Noise Canceling: 10 hours
- Bluetooth only: 15 hours
- Noise Canceling only: 25 hours
- Standby: 300 hours
Denon Travel App: You can further enhance your listening
experience by downloading the Denon Travel App, available for the Apple iPod
touch, iPhone, and iPad, as well as many Android devices. You can use the app to
play your stored music, launch travel apps, create and store custom EQ curves,
and listen to TuneIn Internet radio.
