I used the Crutchfield vehicle fit, and I was told that these speakers wouldn't fit. I decided to purchase them anyway. The speakers fit in the OEM adapters, however the speaker covers for the car didn't fit anymore due to the brackets for the speaker covers were factory installed on the speakers. I am happy with the speakers, and the deck.

Pros:

Great for the Money.The speakers are in a car that I consider a classic. Anything sound better than the original.

Cons:

No so far.

Lousy

Worse than the 16 year old factory speakers in my 4 runner. No bass at all. Got these and a comparable set of JBL for the back doors (these wouldn't fit), and you can barely hear the stereo with the windows down. Crutchfields response? You didn't spend enough.

So much better then the stock junk in my truck. I can actually Hear the words to the songs!!

Bolts right in, no clearance issues.

So the only reason as to why i got these speakers is because Crutchfield had a deal going on. Buy this Kenwood head unit and get these speakers for a steal. Boy am i glad i did. i wouldnt spend the full price on this set thats for sure. I didnt even check to see if these fit my truck. wasnt to worried about it. needless to say my truck had 5.25in speakers in the rear half doors, however somehow these fit the stock mounting holes. not the inside holes either. i was very impressed with the clarity vs my stock set.

great vocals. ok mid bass. easy install.

Absolutely AWFUL - cheap factory speakers removed sounded better

The factory Saturn speakers removed sounded 10x better than these.

With my new head unit, with the old factory speakers, at a volume level of "25" the speakers were loud and clear, and full range. They actually had some decent midrange and bass for such small 5 1/4 speakers.

The new speakers only reproduce highs, and have to be turned up to "35+" on the same scale to reproduce any volume level close to the factory speakers (with the same head unit). At this level, you are also amplifying all the background noise as well, and they sound horrible. Avoid these things!!!

Pros:

Cost? But since they are worthless, I think it was wasted money.

Cons:

The time wasted installing these useless things. What a joke they are And yes, they are hooked up correctly, as all the wiring harnesses and adapters were included by Crutchfield.

i buy a pair of this speakers last christmast , one of them is broke allready and still have factory stereo in my truck no amplifier. they are good just for about 6 month.

Purchased bundled with the Kenwood Excelon deck. Awesome sound for the price! Handles the Alpine power amp smooth and clear. Installed in rear side panels of convertible. No distrortion when turned up loud at highway speeds with the top down. Sounds even better with the top up. I would recommend this bundle to anyone who has a budget and wants good sound.

A nice upgrade from factory stock on my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sound quality seems excellent to me, although I do not try for big, booming bass.

i installed 2 pairs of these speakers and i am very pleased with the perfomance of the speakers replaced oem speakers with these speakers. very easy to install.

instructions on removal of the factory pigtail on oem speakers was not very clear needed more information on the removal process of the pigtail

Came with my Kenwood head for $20. I used them in the rear of a '94 Z28 convertible and they sound just fine. Don't expect bass, but as a rear speaker they're great. I wouldn't use these for front speakers unless you're not picky. Nice crisp highs.

Pros:

Cheap, great as a budget rear speaker.

Cons:

No bass, but what do you expect for $20???

Sounds decent but I would not call it an upgrade speaker over stock. Stock speakers were deteriorated (17 years old) so I replaced them with these Kenwood because it was a deal when purchase with stereo. For the price, I can't complain.

I work in the car alarm & stereo business & put these in many cars & trucks for people who want the best, but at a cheap cost, when it was time to upgrade my own system, I called my distrib. & asked for a discount, their price for ME was higher than Crutchfield & it would have cost me additional money for the faceplates, converstion parts, etc ????? I always delt with Crutchfield on my other cars & went on line - WOW I saved over $100.00 between the radio, speakers,and ALL the parts i needed to install - bottom line, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY SYSTEM !!!!!!! & saved money, I now know why my customers come back & send friends for the same system !!!!!!

EVERYTHING !!!!

Cons:

I had to install myself LOL LOL LOL

There's a reason these are being given away at a discounted price. There's barely any noticeable difference between these and stock speakers on my Honda Fit '12. They're actually worse when it comes to handling bass as they make cracking noises when playing an average Metal song. My stock speakers didn't make a crystal clear sound but didn't choke an average load of bass either. I'll send these back and do my research before ordering the next pair.

Installed these speakers to replace 22-yr-old factory speakers. Magnet size about the same so would put these as somewhat better than factory stock for the vehicle. Compared to the old speakers, Superior. Quite happy with them.

WOW What a Differance

Talk about night and day, I just got these new speakers for the front and WOW What a differance these made . You could hear good with the old vr2 speakers but when i put these in i heard what I was missing as far as Audio Quality . Crisp and clear and you hear bass in the front now... I'm impressed , the middle range is where it should be. its as if I have a premimum sound system. The Reciver (kenwood exceleron x595) that I installed two weeks ago improved the system and now with these front kenwood speakers and the rear speakers by kenwood makes thsi car awesome.

Pros:

Easy to install and the cutting of the old backing to make these fit went quick due to the dremal tool i used. the included instructions helped a lot. had to cut the conecctors seeing they were missing in the door but I solderd them and heat shrunk them as well. The price was great and for the money you cant go wrong.

Cons:

couldent find anything
