The SiriusConnect SC-C1 universal tuner lets you receive Sirius Satellite Radio in your vehicle. You'll see channel, song, and artist information on your stereo's display, and you can save your favorite Sirius channels as presets. You'll also need to add the SiriusConnect adapter that's compatible with your factory or aftermarket stereo to control all of the tuner's functions.

The package includes a roof-mount antenna that attaches to your vehicle with its powerful magnetic base. The included removable metal mounting plate makes it easy to install the SC-C1 out of sight.

Note: A subscription to Sirius is also required. Satellite radio service is available only within the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii or U.S. territories. Limited service is available in Alaska.

    Overview: The SIRIUS SC-C1 SiriusConnect Universal Vehicle tuner allows you to add SIRIUS Radio to a wide variety of aftermarket & OEM radios when combined with a SiriusConnect adapter (sold separately) to match your application.

    SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS Satellite Radio features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality music, and news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming.

    Note: Satellite radio service is available only within the continental United States. Service is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.

    Compatibility: The SC-C1 SiriusConnect Tuner is designed to work with many Sirius-Ready or Sat-Radio Ready head-units. Some head-units will require the use of a SiriusConnect Interface or adapter cable (sold separately). The SC-C1 can also be integrated in select factory audio systems.

    Connection: The SC-C1 uses a 5' SiriusConnect interface 8-pin DIN-cable that integrates power, audio and control through a single connection.

    Mounting: The SC-C1 comes supplied with a removable metal mounting plate with three pre-drilled holes on either side and four self-tapping mounting screws to secure the device to a solid, flat surface. The mounting plate can be removed allowing the unit to be mounted directly to a smooth, flat, clean surface using either double stick tape, Velcro or other adhesive material (not supplied).

    SIRIUS Antenna: The compact SIRIUS antenna has a powerful magnetic base that allows you to mount the antenna on the roof or trunk lid of your vehicle. The antenna needs to be positioned in such a way that it will be free of mechanical and line-of-sight obstructions. The attached antenna cable is 21' long. The antenna measures 1.605" wide x 0.505" tall x 2.005" deep.

    This is a nice package for integrated satellite radio. Relatively small and fairly straightforward to install.
    Pros:
    Integration of satellite tuner and functionality to compatible head unit Relatively small Easy to hide if installation approach is not followed from user guide Works well (better than other aftermarket units) Nice with hardwired connection instead of "tuner" connection
    Cons:
    Cordage seems unnecessarily oversized Connectors are not that robust Power connector is a single sided Molex connector with an oversized inline fuse holder, a bit cumbersome DIN style connector between adapter unit and tuner seems a little overkill Unit mounting is awkward if mounted using provided brackets, requires a great deal of flat space somewhere under dash or elsewhere User guide is lacks detail

    This is what Sirius only subscribers who wish to upgrade their head units need. Not the SiriusXM SXV200V1 Satellite Radio Tuner. It works well, doesn't seem to lose signal that much compared to my old Kenwood tuner. Easy enough to install except for the plug on the head unit end of the cable, it is difficult to insert. Overpriced, especially when combined with necessary JVC SiriusConnect Adapter, in addition to new $200 head unit.
    Pros:
    Pretty Good signal. Allows me to keep my Sirius
    Cons:
    Price, plug on cable. Also, this is important: very limited number of head units to choose from. Check with an advisor.

    this unit is small and that is good. I have had previous units for direct connect and this is the smallest one I have ever had it was easy to tuck away and hide. the factory satellite radio tied in with it so I didn't need to run another antenna. great price as well I paid a third through Crutchfield than what I was going to pay at my local store. very pleased.

    Very easy to install and worked perfect as soon as it was powered on. Little to no start up time on the radio (kenwood dnx7180) compared to the bluetooth feature. Clear reception and the antenna does not need to be mounted outside the car, I put mine on top of the dash in the corner of the passenger side and dont have any issues.

    Works great with my aftermarket stereo. I was disappointed that I had to buy a JVC translator as well. I do like that it works through my stereo and I can have my presets right there on the head unit. I believe the sound is incredible and is just as good as listening to a CD or thumb drive. Much better then FM. Must have fixed glitches I've seen in some of the bad reviews. No problems here

    Product is idiot proof for connecting, and the reception thus far seems to be superior to a previous XM unit I had. Small form factor makes finding a place for the receiver a breeze.

    Only works with the Sirius channel lineup, not XM. (A very slight difference, but one that matters for O&A fans.)

    Center consoles easy to take apart in Scion; exposes cable runs and allows for easy removal install of DNX. Antenna cable run requires attention to detail. Only disappointment is that the display of Sirius info is limited to song title on the Kenwood display. Selecting one of the many Sirius channels is not very user friendly.

    never got my mail in rebate. scc-1 unit connector does not fit my sirus ready clarion cmd4 plug. your site suggested scc-1 unit would work. plug on my cmd4 radio is 3x as big.

    This unit is a little bulky but works as it should. I really wish they would start building the sat tuners into the radios. This doesn't seem like it would be difficult. Make sure you don't need another box in conjunction with this tuner. The Kenwood deck I ordered needed another piece to mate with the deck. Always check the manufactures website and research. Crutchfield didn't tell me i needed the other piece but they were fantastic at getting this resolved for me. Great customer service!!!

    I installed this unit with my Kenwood headunit and it worked for about 2 weeks and then quit. I removed the unit and it had something rattling around in it. Crutchfield was very helpful in getting me a replacement and it seems to be working fine now. The audio qualty is poor. My factory Sirius sounded much better. I was able to use my factory mounted Sirius antenna in my 2013 Ford Mustang GT.

    This was an easy install with the Peripheral iSimple® Satellite Radio Adapter for Toyota to my OEM radio. Keep in mind that if you are an XM customer and switch to this you will need to cancel your XM account and open a Sirius and it is not a cheap transaction but that is XMSirius issue, not Crutchfield's. this was an easy install, came with plenty of cabling options. I did the work myself since it's pretty much plug ..activate...and play :)

    Activating was a pain but that is a XMSirius issue.

    Very easy to install, but the SQ is below par. Not clear and the highs are muddy. It might be the Sirius problem. Might send back within the 30 day window.
