Driver Technology
Two-way Speaker: The Energy Veritas-series V-Mini speaker is a
single bookshelf speaker with a 4.5" kevlar cone woofer with a Ribbed Elliptical
Surround, and a 1" aluminum-dome tweeter with a neodymium motor.
Energy Sound Principles: All Energy brand loudspeakers are
developed with three sound principles in mind:
- Flat On-Axis Frequency Response With Wide Bandwidth: Speakers
should reproduce the entire audio range in a uniform
manner. By ensuring that no one frequency dominates any other, the Energy ensures that every note is the way it was intended to
be, and the sound is as natural as possible.
- Wide and Constant Dispersion: The speaker should provide an even pattern sound at all its frequencies in all
directions throughout the room.
- Low Distortion Resonance: No speaker system is distortion- or
resonance-free, but Energy speakers have achieved a
significantly lower distortion level, a clearly audible improvement.
Convergent Source Module: The Convergent Source Module (CSM)
technology is the heart of the V-Mini speaker. The tweeter and midrange are
placed in close proximity and act as a single source to provide wide dispersion,
low distortion, and amazing performance.
Enclosure Design
Bass Reflex Enclosure: The Energy Veritas-series V-Mini has a
rear-vented bass reflex enclosure, with an attractive, high gloss black finish.
The black cloth grille attaches to the speaker magnetically.
Cabinet Finish: The Energy Veritas speakers feature high
quality, real wood veneer cabinets, coated with multiple layers of high quality
piano paint. Each layer is sanded before the next one is added. Each cabinet is
hand-polished, and fully inspected for imperfections.
Connections
Speaker Terminals: The V-Mini is equipped with a pair of nickel-plated binding post
terminals for connecting the speaker wire. The terminals will accept bare wire,
spade lugs, pin connectors, and single banana plugs. The terminals are spaced
too far apart for dual banana plugs.
Amplifier Requirements: The Energy Veritas-series V-Mini is designed to operate on a wide range of A/V receivers
or
amplifiers with a power rating of 20 to 150 watts continuous per channel. The recommended
bass management setting for the speaker is "small."
Mounting Options
Applications: The V-Mini
can be used with a powered subwoofer for a superb stereo speaker system. Four
V-Minis, the V-Mini C center, and a powered subwoofer can be combined for a
powerful, but compact 5.1-channel home theater system.
Speaker Placement: A set of 4 self-adhesive rubber feet are included,
allowing you to place the speaker on a shelf or tabletop. In addition, a
two-piece wall-mount bracket is included with the speaker. Hardware to attach
the bracket to the wall is not included. There are no keyhole slots or threaded
screw holes provided, so third party speaker brackets will not work.
